Hi, I’m Hannah
Sports, Remedial and Therapeutic Massage Therapist
I qualified as a therapist over 17 years ago after taking the decision to make a career and lifestyle change. Leaving behind a stressful job in London and prioritising not only my own health and well-being but also learning how to support others is something I am forever grateful for.
I initially completed courses in clinical nutrition and anatomy & physiology before training in Swedish, Sports and Remedial Massage after discovering first hand the amazing healing powers of soft tissue therapy following treatment for my own sports injury.
My training has given me a deep appreciation for the wonders of the human body and how important it is for us all to respect and look after it.
As a keen cyclist, trail runner, hill walker and gardener I understand how pain and injury can sometimes get in the way of these passtimes. I’m motivated to ensure my clients can get back to the activities they love as quickly as possible.
Since qualifying I’ve continued to train and add to my professional skills. Training in stress management, health & lifestyle coaching enables me to support clients with more than just their physical health. I’ve developed a keen interest in supporting elderly clients and clients with long term and serious health conditions. My own familys experience of cancer made me realise that massage is often off limits to clients during their cancer treatment and recovery. I added specialist oncology soft touch massage, manual lymphatic drainage and cancer skin care training to my qualifications, ensuring I am able to support clients and their well-being at the most difficult time.
